Their music is inspired by ancient Lithuanian songs; embraced by organic sounds & modern harmonies; and influenced by electronic music. The result is a previously unheard of alchemy of sounds. Merope aim to create a new ritual of music for the present day, by actively and effectively involving the audience in a musical journey. Their first album, '9 Days', was created solely with solar power and recorded in the countryside in southern Spain. With their second album,  'Amaranthine', Merope dedicated the poetic textures and the sound of their inner journeys to the waters of the world. The songs were written after the Fukushima catastrophe.
