“Rolling Thunder” is a 1977 American psychological thriller directed by John Flynn and written by Paul Schrader and Heywood Gould. Upon his return, he finds his family distant and his wife engaged to another man. His life takes a darker turn when a group of criminals invade his home, killing his wife and son, and leaving him severely injured. Rane, now equipped with a prosthetic hook, sets out on a path of vengeance with the help of his fellow veteran, played by Tommy Lee Jones.
