#travel #adventure #DJIdrone #YouTube #chamonix #furkapass #courchevel #france #switzerland This phase of our road trip has taken to the Furka Pass (aka James Bond Pass) for a trip to the Belvedere Hotel. It was only as we arrived, did we find that the hotel is now closed. There is a huge car park with cafe and facilities to rest at, but we continued further up (circa 150m) for a stop / view down the valley. The Furka pass, both up and down provided breath taking views before heading to Chamonix for the night. We found an amazing spot on @park4night-app with Montblanc as a back drop and a few minutes walk to the centre of Chamonix. The park up had both services for waste and water and a well stocked grocery store 100m away. We had really nice "French" dinner, trying snails (escargot) for the first time...each to their own but we are not in rush to try them anytime soon! From Chamonix we had driven the scenic route to Courchevel, to arrive at Lac de la Rosier, a pristine lake (aka the green diamond of the alps) in the valley with nothing but nature surrounding. We spent the evening here, waking to quietness and the views of the lake for morning coffee and croissants. After spending one night and one and half days here, it was time to leave the tranquility of the alps, to head to Annecy.
