Have you noticed a white, gray-blue ring on your eye? It's likely something called corneal arcus. Dr. EyeGuy explains what it is, the difference between arcus senilis and arcus juvenilis, and if it's something you should be concerned about. WHAT IS DISCUSSED IN THIS VIDEO Corneal arcus can be considered an age-related corneal degeneration. The corneal opacity usually starts in an arc pattern on the superior and inferior cornea, and as it progresses it can turn into a full ring on the cornea. If you are over 60 years old with this white ring, it's arcus senilis and likely is completely normal with nothing to worry about. Younger than 60, especially younger than 40, it can be considered arcus juvenilis. This can be sign of high cholesterol or other systemic problems. It is very important for you to go see your doctor if you notice this white ring at a younger age. 🔔Subscribe to Dr. EyeGuy https://www.youtube.com/c/dreyeguy?su... 🔴Watch More Dr. EyeGuy Videos! https://rb.gy/pk3czn VIDEO RESOURCES FOR YOU: Dry Eye Video Series: Symptoms, Causes and Best Treatments: https://rb.gy/mcfiex Best Allergy Eye Drops: • Best Allergy Eye Drops For Itchy Eyes!
