I could have gone several different directions with this look but in the end I chose the one best suited for what I was trying to accomplish. ABOUT THIS LOOK: Welcome to Absolem's world where the mushrooms grow tall and the hookah smoke mists. While the chaos of the Chessire cat was unnerving and rolling heads predicted type of rage the Queen's was in, as a rule, Absolem always freaked me out the most. Allow me to explain: It wasn't the mystery of the smoke surrounding him or the fact that he appeared at fearful times in the story. It was simply this, he was just too terribly laid back. I chose portray this character in a mysterious and whimsical fashion, nothing like how I saw him in the movies or book. Although, the late Alan Rickman's Absolem has been my favorite portrayal so far. I am happy to bring you a tiny snippet of the world dreamt up for this challenge. The set design took nearly two weeks to build, while the preproduction took even longer. Happily I can report that I will have a vlog/how I did it video on the entire process soon!
