This song was specifically written/recorded as a dedication to the immensly talented and dedicated Dr. Emile Bacha of The Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Bacha performed open heart surgery in June of 2007 on our son, Samuel Raymond Weisburgh, who was born 3/20/07 with a congenital heart defect. "The Good Doctor" and his talented staff at the Children's Hospital, a place of miracles,made our stay in Boston one of hope for the future. With a successful operation performed by skilled hands, Samuel started his road to recovery,following a sunlit path. Only weeks before Sam's 3rd BIrthday, this footage was filmed at Farmer Phil's Horse Haven Ranch in Franklin County Vermont, where this song was written and recorded by Phil Peery. Phil plays the emotive keyboard part wriiten specifically as a backdrop for Bob Weisburgh to pour his soul out on his Fender Stratocaster. Recorded on a sweltering night in August 2007, the sweat beads were dripping off Bob's forehead while deep in concentration: the phrasing needed to be meaningful, steeped in emotion, and free of preconceived ideas . With some skillful overdubs at Dog Haus Studios, this final mix takes the listener through a range of emotions & feelings: fear to hope, sadness to elation, anxious to relaxed.
