It was the home base for the 226th Seperate mixed aviation regiment of the Soviet Union. The airfield was built with the help of German forced prison labourers. Surrounded by a large forest, access to this airfield is rather difficult. As the airport is disused, the airspace is free to fly drones in based on current german legislation, but unfortunately my drone didn't have the range to explore further along the airstrip.
