Last Ride With Marcello.

My uncle, and Godfather, and friend passed away this year. I had grown up with him over summers, he introduced me to so many things, and was a wonderful man. I was fortunate to have visited him and my Aunt not too long again in Germany, a trip that was very special to me taking my motorcycle from Italy, through the Alps, to see them at their home. After he passed I took the same trip again, this time to visit his ashes in Germany, then see them at their final resting place in Rome at our family crypt. It was a bittersweet journey, but in all honesty more sweet than bitter. Seeing family in German, friends in Switzerland and Italy, and finally him at his final resting spot in Rome all on the back of a motorcycle was a wonderful way to spend some last moments reflecting in my helmet about my beloved Marcello. Like him, it will be a trip that I will never forget. RIP Marcello.
