Thankfully, my phone connection was much faster than the internet at the hotel and I was able to use it to get the work all done. As I was checking out of the hotel though, I received a notification on my phone that I had been awarded Gold status on Hotel.com. Apparently I had stayed in hotels at least 30 days in the last 365. Here's hoping that I'll be able to save a little more money through their secret prices. I then explain how a logistical problem has resulted in me deciding to drive east instead of west so I can cross into North Dakota and then I start the drive. It was a very pretty, very simple drive and that allowed me to play around with the time lapse cameras and have a little fun testing out new angles. Interstate 90 to Interstate 94 and 5+ hours later I was in North Dakota. Within minutes of entering the state I was in the National Grasslands and a number of different parks. After seeing a number of scenic overlooks I decided to finally stop for one and I wasn't disappointed. Another half hour in the car and I got to my hotel without issue and oddly enough it seemed to be a newly renovated room. Even better though is that I got in in time to watch the England-Japan semi-final and witness first hand the heart breaking own goal that put Japan through to the final. Given that I had been up for hours and knew I was going to have a ton of video to edit, I decided to end the vlog early and get started on it. Hope you guys had a good day!
