MIXAP: Democratizing Mixed Reality Content Creation for Teachers

Abstract: MIXAP is a free, open-source Mixed Reality tool that transforms everyday educational materials—such as worksheets, images, flashcards, and physical objects—into interactive learning experiences. Designed by teachers, for teachers, MIXAP helps make lessons more playful, immersive, and engaging without requiring teachers to reinvent their resources. In this presentation, you will explore the co-design process behind MIXAP, developed in close collaboration with pioneering teachers to identify meaningful and practical uses of Mixed Reality in the classroom. You will also have the opportunity to try MIXAP hands-on and discover four versatile activity types that can be applied across any subject area, from primary education to professional training.
