Day out in Edinburgh | Road Tripping Scotland Episode 11

With 5 weeks of free time on my hands, I'm heading off on an adventure. With no real plans and my next stop completely depending on the great Scottish weather, I'm heading to different corners of this beautiful country and doing a lot of exploring along the way. I love visiting Edinburgh and if I'm (reasonably) close by, I'll always stop by. Today I'm leaving my car behind and taking the train into the city. This is a beautiful ride from Markinch down to Kirkcaldy and then along the coast, before crossing the iconic Forth Bridge. Once in Edinburgh I have a good walk around, enjoying the views from Calton Hill, heading down to the Palace of Holyrood House for a quick look, strolling along the Royal Mile and having a look at the outside of Edinburgh Castle. My next stop is lunch and I have some wonderful mussels at the Mussels Inn. My afternoon is then spent at the National Museum of Scotland, which is a really great museum with lots of different exhibits to see.
