The Supreme Court has issued a manual to prevent the use of gender stereotype words in judgments and arguments. The manual, released on August 16 by the Supreme Court, also provides alternative words or approaches. Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, had provided information about this 30-page booklet as early as March 8. During an event at the Supreme Court on International Women's Day, Justice Chandrachud had mentioned that the use of offensive words for women in legal matters will be stopped. The court is soon going to introduce a dictionary for this purpose. This task has now been accomplished.
