The original track was written by Argentine vocalist Corina Lawrence, produced by Uji, and also features the provocative Buenos Aires rapper Miss Bolivia. Uji decided to put another spin on the original production for his solo album, giving the song a newfound dance floor groove. In La Descarriá, Uji paints an audio landscape that takes you to the high plains of Bolivia, pairing it  with a Tarantino style guitar riff and then brings you to a banging 808 inspired club beat. In order to create the music video, Uji used archival footage that he filmed over the years while immersed in South America researching its rich musical and cultural heritage. In the “La Descarriá” video we find images from traditional festivities and rituals in which music plays an important role and shows Latin America’s deep rooted syncretism and amalgamation of influences. Images in the video shift from scenes from La Quebrada de Humahuaca’s Andean carnival in the north of Argentina to Montevideo’s Afro-Uruguayan Candombe llamadas, from the Pim Pim dances from the Wichi people on Argentina’s border with Bolivia; to the Afro-Peruvian festivities in Chincha, among others. “Having immersed myself so deeply into the heart of Latin America has been a life-changing experience. What I saw and heard during those intense journeys is now embedded in all the music I create.
