Zapad Slunce is like a mantra for me that allows me to feel light and return to childhood. The composition was written in C major. This key is said to evoke innocence, happiness and a spiritual feeling. The more I think about it, the more I think this description fits the composition and its history perfectly. I wrote it thinking about my childhood, which is by definition a time of innocence and which for me was a time of great happiness. And I wrote it at a comparatively innocent moment where I was exploring new musical possibilities for the first time.
