India Poised for 7.6% GDP Growth in 2025–26, says CEA V. Anantha Nageswaran during press brief

V Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Adviser, on GDP data, said, “The first three quarters, the growth rates are 8.4 and 7.8, and it doesn’t take much to back out what the fourth quarter GDP growth rate number should be in order to meet the 7.6 per cent growth rate for the full year. On that basis, the expected or anticipated growth rate has to be 7.3 per cent or more in Q4 to be able to achieve the full-year real GDP growth rate of 7.6 per cent. And I think the momentum in the economy is good enough to deliver us that 7.3 per cent growth rate in the fourth quarter. And moving on from GDP to GVA, again, as Dr. Garg pointed out, the manufacturing sector’s growth rate is in double digits. Services are not too far behind at 9.5 per cent. This is the GVA growth rate in real terms.
