CAN YOU LITERALLY IMAGINE?!? Gianni Versace left an indelible mark on the fashion industry and pop culture as a whole. His assassination in 1997 was one of the most tragic celebrity deaths of all time, but the Versace brand obviously lives on through the one and only Donatella Versace. Ryan Murphy's "The Assassination of Gianni Versace" in his American Crime Story series was more of a compelling back story on Versace's killer, Andrew Cunanan, but it was clear how much Gianni meant to fashion. I forgot to mention that there was also a Lifetime movie called "House of Versace" in 2013 produced about Donatella taking the helm of the brand. Despite the complete lack of approval and inclusion from Donatella and her camp, I watched the movie out of pure intrigue about this iconic woman who was basically forced to take on a massive empire by herself on the heels (no pun intended) of her brother's murder. We can all probably name at least one memorable iconic Versace moment. Jennifer Lopez instantly comes to mind in the now infamous jungle print dress, which literally created a lasting trend on Versace runways for decades to come.
