Sonata in C Minor by Sophia Giustina Dussek (1775-1831) is a well-known work within the classical harp repertoire. The first movement has a dark and dramatic feel. Written in sonata form, it moves through a variety of phrases and themes in the exposition, followed by a short development section before the recapitulation. The second movement uses material related to the first movement, but in a more spacious setting, with a gentle feel throughout. The third movement stands apart from the first two and is a cheerful and lively rondo set in C Major. 00:00 Allegro Moderato 2:55 Andantino 4:56 Rondo: Allegro Jacqueline Pollauf is a professional harpist based in Baltimore, Maryland.
