We would like to introduce the Kinor16 CX to you. A very cost effective camera to enter the 16mm motion picture format. The Kinor company of Russia (Kinor-Cinema) was a manufacturer of 35-millimeter and 16-millimeter movie cameras. The Kinor16 is, compared to the more popular Krasnogorsk K series cameras, of a much higher standard. The cameras had a cartridge loading film and high-quality, robust and reliable construction with low mechanical noise. In the Soviet Union these cameras were the standard equipment for TV journalists. The usual kit consists of four magazines, three 100-foot, and one 400-foot. The motor generates an accurate 25 frames per second. Variable frame rates require a relatively cheap modification from third-party developers. The lenses are very high-quality, especially the 12-120mm (an Angenieux copy)and the 6mm wide angle. Our model is equipped with a variable shutter blade, which most Kinor cameras do not have.
