For the first time ever, our trail cameras have recorded colour, daytime footage of pine martens in Yorkshire. Up until now, our cameras have only captured night-time footage of what may well be Yorkshire's rarest mammal. In previous years, our trail camera footage of pine martens in Yorkshire has been recorded between dusk and dawn, which is typically when pine martens are more active. Although, pine martens are active in the daytime too, venturing out of their dens for around a third of their active time during the day.
