Cosmetics containers come in all shapes and sizes – including a chic red case. We crafted this bespoke pack to promote the Bourjois Velvet Ink range. We began with the main structure: a “jewellery” box opening along a concealed hinge with a small drawer in the base. The outside is wrapped in red, soft-touch paper and bears a few chic embellishments inspired by the Velvet Ink bottle, including gold knobs and fluted gold foil lines. Each box is also topped with a gold plaque bearing the Bourjois branding and the individual name of the recipient in their native language – a personalised touch that boosts user experience and encourages retention of this special cosmetics packaging. The interior of the pack features a mirror on the inside of the lid, and 18 lip glosses held in three stacked trays. The trays hold the glosses in flocked EVA fitments, and can be easily lifted out in turn using red ribbon tabs fixed to either side. The finishing touch is the drawer in the base, which contains a drawstring pouch designed to hold a single lip gloss. Made from red velvet fabric, and branded with the Bourjois logo, this bag was dreamt up by our team as a way to add even greater value to this special gift set. In the cosmetics business, marketing your product is all about getting it into the right hands. That’s why this set was designed and developed for a select group of beauty bloggers and influencers – in total it was sent out to just 246 lucky recipients.
