In this video I demonstrate how to coil a rope to throw so that it doesn't tangle. In the video I demonstrate how not to put stress on a rope when it is coiled. This method works for most nylon ropes that you might buy at a hardware or sporting goods stores. Some speciality rescue ropes can be thrown relatively tangle free using some of the coiling methods that I suggest are not appropriate. So, the type of rope is another variable that isn't discussed.
