We’re delighted to welcome Thomas Sharp as our new Tutor in Pastoral Theology & Lay Ministry Lead at St Augustine’s College of Theology. In this video, Thomas introduces himself, his passion for theology, and his hopes for supporting students in their studies and ministries. He shares: His love of systematic and pastoral theology and how they empower ministry. His commitment to being an inclusive, safe space for students. His role in developing teaching for lay ministry and independent students - including chaplains, pastors, pioneers, readers, and worship leaders. His vision for pastoral theology as a way to support human flourishing and sustainable ministry. Thomas also reflects on his own experiences as someone who is neurodivergent and openly gay in the Church of England, and how these shape his teaching and his desire to encourage students in their own journeys.
