It was becoming a pain to carry keys every time I needed to access the garage, so I thought 'why not make it smart'! Especially since the Meross MSG100 was on special from Amazon at the time. While it's normally designed to work with panel or sectional garage doors, I knew there would be a way to make it work with a rollerdoor. The standard version of the Meross Controller is compatible with Google and Amazon smarthome ecosystems, but I bought the Homekit (Apple) version to suit my needs.
