On March 10, 2021, NAIOP Colorado celebrated the 34th Annual Awards of Achievement, honoring the "Best of the Best" in Colorado's Real Estate Industry for 2020. The TruStile Doors' Headquarters and Denver Production Plant located in Adams County Colorado received the Industrial Development of the Year award. Developed by EnviroFinance Group or EFG-Denver, LLC, the TruStile Doors’ Headquarters and Denver Production Plant is a model of sustainability within Denver’s industrial manufacturing sector. The project co-locates a 65,000-sf high-end, residentially designed corporate headquarters with a 220,000-sf state of the art production plant, incorporating onsite renewable power (solar and biomass) to reduce traditional energy consumption by an estimated 50%. The project includes a 1.5-megawatt roof-mounted solar array and a custom biomass boiler system that turns excess wood waste from manufacturing into heating and cooling for the building. These investments in sustainable manufacturing are projected to reduce carbon emissions by 25,000 tons annually – the equivalent of taking 4,900 cars off the road each year. Congratulations to TruStile Doors, Marvin Windows and Doors, EnviroFinance Group and their development partners to include: Midwest Renewable Capital; Brownfield Revitalization; Central States Development Partners; Dudley Ventures; CO Growth and Revitalization Fund; Colorado Enterprise Fund; Ware Malcomb; Ryan Companies; US Bank; SB Clark; and REC Solar.
