The name Krvavec in English would be something like 'bloody' or 'bleeder'. It's generally untranslatable and it has nothing to do with the blood. Even in Slovenian, it means nothing. It's just the name of the mountain. But Krvavec is the best skiing resort in Slovenia. You can go there by cabin cable car or by car. If you go by car the road is excellent. It is an interesting place in the warmer parts of the year too. You can go hiking or cycling with mountain bikes there or can just take a walk as well. I took this video a week ago generally by a drone so you can get a picture of what it is like. But in the mist, it can be deadly dangerous, particularly in winter. Meadows or skiing tracks are bordered by deep cliffs all around which is perfect for landscape or nature photography especially taken by the drone. The upper station of the cable car is at 1600 m and the top of Krvavec mountain is at 2000 m.
