Critique of Pen Venture’s Customer Service: Buying the Stipula Faceted Etruria Champaign (Champagne)

The intent of this video is to show my experience with Pen Venture’s customer service. It is not a commentary on whether the 14k gold Sti-flex nib is inferior or superior to Stipula’s 18k gold nib. It is also not a commentary on whether it is acceptable for a retailer to have mistakes on their website. When I ordered this pen, the Pen Venture website and my receipt stated that I would be receiving an 18k gold Sti-flex nib. From my research at the time I bought the pen I could not find any information that indicated that Sti-flex nibs are only made in 14k gold. (Pen Venture’s YouTube video giving information about the Sti-flex nib was not published until after I purchased my pen from them.) When I wrote to Pen Venture stating that I had not received the nib I had ordered, Emy, the owner of Pen Venture, sent me an email which I did not feel was appropriate. Emy’s email did not offer me an option to either get what I had ordered or return the item I received without paying the cost of return shipping myself. In addition, I and most of the people who have heard what Emy wrote, consider his email to be rude. That is what this video is about. This video is a warning to potential customers about Emy’s customer service. Since the publishing of this video, I have received more messages from Emy, in emails and in the comments section of this video, most of which I consider to be wrong, rude and inappropriate. This has convinced me that my initial impression of Emy’s character was correct and that this video was warranted. After receiving poor customer service from Emy, I decided to keep the pen.
