The L2, though, takes it up a notch with five returns and a mind-blowing 1.2 million points per second. Talk about data overload! Tech specs-wise, the L1 needs some warm-up time for IMU calibration and operates at a max of 160 kHz. The L2, on the other hand, is ready to roll right off the bat and pushes the envelope with a 240 kHz sampling rate 📈. After running the sensors through their paces with 43 checkpoints, I used DJI Terra software for an in-depth look at the point clouds and noise levels. Both sensors are top-notch, but the L2 shows a slight edge in reducing noise, which is a big deal for us in precision mapping 🌍📍. So, what's my takeaway? While the L1 and L2 are awesome tools, the L2 shows real promise for handling more complex surveying tasks.
