Forty years ago this week, as amateur radio broadcasters, also known as "hams," held their annual meetup, the "Hamboree," at Miami's Bayfront Auditorium and geeked out over frequencies and antennas and such, the next frontier of electronic geekery was in their midst: the personal computer. WTVJ's Ike Seamans dropped in on the Hamboree to report on new trends in electronics and discovered lots of uses for personal computers, including game play and portraiture.
