Fredrik Schjesvold, MD, PhD, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway, comments on the value of selinexor in multiple myeloma (MM), highlighting that the agent is only approved for two indications β in penta-refractory patients or as second-line treatment in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone for patients who have failed on daratumumab plus lenalidomide and dexamethasone (DaraRd). Dr Schjesvold also comments on the potential of combining selinexor with pomalidomide or carfilzomib in certain groups of patients.
