Hi friends! As many of you know, I’ve been working through The Artist’s Way with Liane, and some of the tasks have reminded me that we can change the direction of our lives if we take the time to slow down, reflect, and give ourselves permission to change. Some of these tasks remind me of narrative therapy, which is something I’ve been learning more about in my own work as a therapist. It’s a therapeutic approach that helps you step back and look at your experiences with fresh eyes, to consider alternative stories that might contradict the ones you’ve told yourself throughout your life. I also find journalling can be a great tool to help facilitate some of the core ideas, so today I’m going to explore this relationship and share some journalling prompts if you’d like to try it yourself. *DISCLAIMER: These are my opinions based on my personal experience and research. I’m hoping you may find my experiences helpful, but also consider seeking professional help (I do with my therapist!) if you find yourself struggling for extended periods.* 🎨 Join @lianelikes me on our 12 weeks of the Artist's Way!
