In this video, I take a look at how to do voice recordings with the Sony ICD UX570. I have mentioned many times before that I am a big fan of this digital handheld recorder. I have been using it for about 5 years now, and it has never let me down! I have mentioned that there are 101 uses for this little recorder, but in this video I am focussing on how to do voice recording right out of the box. Maybe that is the only reason why you bought this recorder, and that is fine. It does that job very well. You can plug an external microphone into the Sony ICD UX 570, but the two built-in microphones work very well. Maybe you are a student who is looking to record university lectures. Maybe you work for the media and you are looking for something to record interviews with people. Or maybe you just want a recorder that you will always have on you in case you want to record notes to yourself, or you don't want to lose an idea that has popped into your head. This recorder would be perfect in all of those situations. As I have mentioned before, I use this recorder in many ways. I use it to produce a podcast. I use it for video production. I use it for music production. And it is also great for digitizing old analogue recordings. But again, the main purpose of this video is to act as a quick start guide, and to get you doing voice recordings immediately out of the box. Think of this video as a quick start guide to voice recordings with the Sony ICD UX 570. I encourage you to check out the many other videos I have done regarding this recorder. There is also a playlist on my channel devoted entirely to the Sony ICD UX570. Please check that out if you want to learn more about this digital recorder. What is also great is that you can choose to make your recordings as either an MP3 file or a wav file. Plus there are also a variety of settings that are suited for various recording situations. For example, if you are in a large room, a lecture hall, a small room, whatever the case may be. You can also adjust settings for loud situations (for example, if you are recording a live band) or if you are recording someone who is talking very quietly. Again, this recorder is surprisingly versatile. Do you own the Sony ICD UX570? What do you think about it? How do you use it? What do you like most about this recorder? Or is there another digital recorder that you like even more? Feel free to leave a comment! On this channel I post videos relating to retro and vintage technology. Things like cassettes, CDs, old cameras, laser disc, radios, TVs, DVDs, vinyl, VCRs, home recording gear, microphones, mixers, synthesizers, drum machines, video games, and so much more.
