When it comes to marketing, too many people underestimate the importance of an effective and efficient distribution channel. They focus the vast majority of their efforts on promotion or advertising or brand-building and neglect the delivery side of the marketing exchange process. Without effective distribution, whether that’s prior to the creation of your product or between the point of product creation and final delivery to your client, the end result will be the same: unhappy customers. To be effective, materials and services need to be delivered or performed on time and in a manner that’s consistent with the promised quality level. Efficient distribution is achieved when delivery processes are streamlined so that quality is high and timeliness is consistent, but at a low enough cost that the end price is acceptable to the client at the same time that your margins are sustainable to your operations. Effective and efficient distribution is key to product delivery, which is a critical component of the marketing process. In the end, you need to deliver to your customer what you’ve sold to your customer. You shouldn’t sell it, if you can’t deliver. **Be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss any future episodes of Monday's Marketing Minute, where you’ll learn about: Marketing Strategy and Tactics Brand Development Personal Branding and Professional Branding Marketing Yourself Marketing Leadership and whatever relevant and related topics come our way. **Also, connect with me on any of the following: LinkedIn: / anthonymiyazaki Twitter: / sensiblefolk Instagram: / sensiblefolk YouTube: / anthonymiyazaki
