Shin-Yokohama Station is located in Kohoku-ku, Yokohama City, and is served by five lines: Tokaido Shinkansen, JR Yokohama Line, Yokohama Municipal Subway Blue Line, Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line, and Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line. It is a convenient transportation hub where all Shinkansen business trains stop, as well as direct connections to central Tokyo and Yokohama. Shin-Yokohama Station was established in 1964 with the opening of the Tokaido Shinkansen. At that time, the area was a rural area, but it has rapidly developed into a business district, shopping malls, and sports facilities. Since the 1990s, the population has increased and the area is positioned as Yokohama's second urban center. Here are some of the tourist attractions in and around Shin-Yokohama Station.
