Two years after the battle in Sokovia, Thor has been searching for the Infinity Stones without success. His journey leads him to Muspelheim, where he finds himself imprisoned by the fire demon, Surtur. Surtur reveals that Odin is no longer in Asgard and has been exiled to Earth. He also tells Thor that Asgard’s destruction is inevitable. Once Surtur unites his crown with the Eternal Flame, Ragnarok will be set in motion, and the realm will burn. The fire demon insists he can’t be killed until his destiny is fulfilled. Thor fights Surtur, defeating him and claiming the demon’s crown, believing he’s stopped Ragnarok. During the battle, Surtur’s fire creatures attack, and the Fire Dragon briefly appears but doesn’t get involved right away. Thor, using Mjolnir, easily takes down the creatures, and the dragon is quickly stopped when Thor drops Mjolnir into its mouth. Thor calls for Heimdall, who’s been replaced by Skurge, to open the Bifrost portal. As Thor makes his way through, the Fire Dragon chases him. But when Thor passes through the portal to return to Asgard, the dragon is killed in the process, its head severed by the Bifrost. What do you think of Thor's plan?
