Video shows step by step how to remove and replace the fuel tank on a 1993 military humvee. This vehicle was sunk resulting in water in the fuel tank and throughout the entire fuel system. The filler neck was also completely coated in mud and required a deep cleaning. I had been running the truck on an auxiliary fuel tank since I replaced the engine a few weeks ago. The lines running from the lift pump to the injectors have already been replaced or cleaned. New fuel filter & water separator were also added beforehand. Everything went smooth until the end when a check valve prevented fuel from getting to the lift pump. The truck is still running great and holding prime without the redundant check valve.
