Her hands are rough and strong, yet her movements are filled with tenderness and skill — the mark of years of experience. As she works, the laughter of her children drifts from near the tent, and she answers them with a tired but warm smile. By afternoon, when the sun stands high in the sky, Akram bathes the children one by one. Their laughter fills the air as the cool spring water sparkles on their skin. She washes their hair, dresses them in clean clothes, and brings them fresh bread and yogurt. Everything moves with a rhythm of care and love; in her hands, the hardship and simplicity of nomadic life turn into beauty and peace. Akram is an exceptional, independent woman — a true daughter of the land. She has learned to rely on the earth and the sky, not on anyone else.
