Originally built in the early 1900s as a prestigious boys’ school (and clearly for very wealthy boys), this historic property has undergone a massive renovation over the past few years—and it has been done flawlessly. The result is a perfect balance of heritage, elegance, and modern luxury. What makes the Saint James even more rare is its expansive gardens and outdoor space, something almost unheard of for a hotel in central Paris. I tour the Grand Suite, which feels like the ultimate Parisian apartment. From the stunning floors and elegant living room to the intimate dining area, gorgeous fabrics, and beautifully curated minibar, every detail is thoughtful and refined. The bedroom is perfectly scaled, with a king-size bed, ideal night tables, modern charging stations, a desk, and ample closet space—everything you’d want for a true stay-in-and-enjoy experience. The bathroom is equally spectacular, featuring double sinks, marble finishes, heated towel racks, a luxurious soaking tub, and a massive shower. We also step into Bellefeuille, the Michelin-starred restaurant at the Saint James. Recently redesigned, the space is filled with beautiful fabrics, rich colors, and organic floral elements inspired by nature. I’ve had one of the most unforgettable multi-course dinners of my life here—every dish exquisitely executed. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves exceptional food in an extraordinary setting.
