Behind the Scenes of Persona [Fratres] with Robert Bondara | West Australian Ballet

We invited Robert Bondara to reflect on his experience working with West Australian Ballet to adapt the trio movement from his full-length original work 'Persona'. The Trio is set to "Fratres" by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. Robert discusses his inspirations for Persona; the psychological works of Carl Jung, specifically the Jungian concept of 'The Self' as well as the words of Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz who wrote 'To be a man is to never be oneself.' Persona [Fratres] is part of West Australian Ballet's new season IN Cognito: Ballet at the Quarry, a mix of contemporary and neo-classical ballet and dance set in the serene Quarry Amphitheatre.
