An ode to small creatures, to whom I sacrificed about a quart of blood filming this video. Filmed in Tryon Creek State Natural Area, Portland OR. Patch Notes below. PATCH NOTES Birdsong and textures: Birdsong is synthesized using Syrinx, an instrument I created in Max/MSP. Other textures are granularized recordings of rotting wood, leaves, and river stones. Melody: Melody is MI Rings sequenced by the Keystep 37. The sequence is performed live and looped. Support: Other voices are MI Plaits and Loquelic Iteritas. Both receive pitch CV from Ornament & Crime in Copiermaschine mode, which is sampling the sequence from the Keystep at a regular clock interval. Trigger sequencing done from the Varigate 4+. All three voices are sent through filters, Qubit Nautilus, and MI Clouds for a touch of reverb.
