Welcome back to the build! In this episode of the Harley Sportster chopper project, I finish prepping and paint the frame so we can finally start putting the bike back together. Before paint, I fix a damaged fork stop, add a small clearance notch for the rear valve cover, and go through the prep process to make sure the frame is ready for paint. For the paint process I used: • Rustoleum Self-Etching Primer • High Build Epoxy Primer • Vintage Satin Black 2K Urethane (semi-gloss) This combination helps protect the frame from corrosion while giving it that classic vintage chopper satin black finish. Painting a frame always comes with a few lessons along the way—dry spots, coat timing, and learning how the paint lays down. But once the engine and parts are back on, nobody will ever notice the tiny imperfections! Next step in the build: installing the engine and continuing the Sportster chopper assembly.
