Das Interessante an diesem Laufwerk ist unter anderem auch die Bandstraffung während der Funktionsumschaltungen. Dies ist nur gewährleistet, wenn das Zwischenantriebsmodul (der weiße "Zahnradkasten" an der Unterseite des Laufwerks, welcher direkt mit dem Antriebsriemen verbunden ist), einwandfrei funktioniert! Leider passiert es häufig, dass in diesem "Kasten" das linke untereste Zahnrad in der Mitte Brücke bekommt und somit die ganze aufgesteckte Rutschkupplungskonstruktion nach oben "geschraubt" wird, das sich in zwei Arten zeigen kann. Erstens: Der Rekorder verliert in den eingefädelten Funktionen die Zugkraft an den Wickeltellern, was dazu führt, dass meist der rechte (Auf-)Wickelteller stehenbleibt und der Rekorder in STOP geht, dabei wird meistens das Band nicht mehr in die Kassette gespult! Zweitens: Die Rutschkupplungskonstruktion bricht auseinander und drückt so stark nach oben, dass der Klemmring abgeht und die Zahnräder den Idler hochdrücken, sodass dieser nicht mehr in den Aufwickelteller eingreift. Leider kann man das defekte Zahnrad nicht wirklich "reparieren", da es von einer anliegenden Feder umgeben wird und die Welle durchläuft. Es hilft da leider nur Ersatz. Den Ersatz gibt es nur in Form des kompletten Zwischenantriebsmodul. --- One of the interesting features of this mechanism is the tape tensioning during function switching. This is only guaranteed if the intermediate drive module (the white "gear box" on the underside of the deck, which is directly connected to the drive belt) is functioning properly! Unfortunately, it often happens that the left-most gear in the middle of this "box" gets a break, thus "screwing" the entire attached slip clutch assembly upwards. This can manifest itself in two ways. First: The recorder loses tension on the take-up reel during threaded functions, which usually results in the TU-reel stopping and the recorder is going into STOP mode, usually resulting in the tape no longer being wound into the cassette! Second: The slip clutch assembly breaks apart and exerts such strong upward pressure that the clamping ring comes off, and the gears push the idler up, causing it to no longer engage with the take-up reel. Unfortunately, the defective gear can't really be "repaired," as it's surrounded by a spring and runs through the shaft. Unfortunately, the only solution is a replacement. The replacement is only available in the form of the complete intermediate drive module.
