Rise of Melkor: The War of the Valar | Silmarillion Documentary

This video covers an extensive period of time, including the First War, the Spring of Arda, Years of the Lamp, Sleep of Yavanna, and the Birth of the Two Trees. My focus, however, remains on the deeds of Melkor, whose relentless pursuit for power drove him to challenge the dominion of the Ainur over Arda. Witness the countless battles that ensued as the Valar formed Arda, and Melkor undid or marred their every creation. His reign lasted ages until Tulkas descended to Arda and put an end to Melkor's tyranny. The result of the War was that Arda was marred, but Tulkas and Aulë worked tirelessly to restore it. As peace settled over the land, Aulë created the Two Lamps and Yavanna seeded the earth with plants, beginning the Spring of Arda. But Melkor's return brought destruction, and the mighty pillars were cast down, plunging the land into chaos once more. The Sleep of Yavanna ensued, but her song brought forth the Two Trees, which illuminated the land and brought life to Middle-earth. As a fan of Tolkien's world, revisiting this tale evokes the deepest emotions in me, and I'm excited to share it with you.
