Director, camera, editor - Stuart Page Filmed in Dunedin harbour, Lyttelton harbour, Wellington harbour and Auckland harbour on 16mm Kodak 7240 and 7250 reversal film stock using a Bolex H16 REX-5 spring-wound clockwork 16mm camera. Little Stevie McCabe's salty shanty showcases 1987's nationwide 4-piece AXEMEN line up: Bob Brannigan at Port Chalmers, Stevie in Lyttelton, Dragan Stojanovic in Wellington and Stu Kawowski in Auckland. Guest appearances from Celia 'Pavlova' Mancini (RIP), Joe ‘The Lion’, Patrick ‘Dubhead’ Waller, Louise Cardy, and others. Some 'found footage' of a combined NZ/Australia Navy exercise was used. 'The Wharf With No Name' is the 2nd track on Side 2 of the AXEMEN 'Derry Legend' LP released in 1988 on Flying Nun Records FN120 (Derry Legend was re-issued as LP, MC and CD by Luxury Products LUX002 USA 2014). The album was recorded July 6-7-8, 1987 at Writhe Recording, 3 Walter Street, Te Aro, Wellington, engineered by Nick Roughan, and remixed Oct 1987 by Nick with Stu Kawowski.
