Conversation with Eliot Fisk, recorded Janurary 13, 2021. ----- Steve Lin has performed throughout the United States, Italy, the Philippines, Japan, Mexico, and Taiwan. He is praised by Classical Guitar Magazine as “a confident player with a powerful sound, quick hands, and a solid musical memory” and was the first prize winner at the Boston GuitarFest Competition and the East Carolina Guitar Competition. He has two albums on VGo Recordings: Eliot Fisk Series Vol. 1 and Imagen. Steve is guitar professor at San Jose State University, where he teaches guitar and music. He is a founding member of Black Cedar Trio, dedicated to music for flute, guitar, and cello. Steve earned his B.M. and D.M.A. from New England Conservatory, and his M.M. from Yale School of Music. His teachers have included Eliot Fisk, Oscar Ghighlia, Lorenzo Micheli, Ron Purcell, Ron Borczon, and Wei-Ren Chuang.
