The Weser Uplands—one of the most beautiful natural regions in Northern Germany. Nature photographer Jürgen Borris knows this region better than anyone else. He lives and loves the wildlife right on his doorstep. Wild boars, badgers, and a wide variety of bird species are already familiar to the photographer. He is out in the forests and meadows throughout every season, documenting the constant changes in nature: Spring brings light back to the forest floor, and the first buds open. In warm summer temperatures, kingfishers cool off in the river. In autumn, the red deer rut begins, and in winter, a layer of ice crystals envelops the plants.
