He began his journalism journey as a reporter with PTI in Chennai. Over the years, he covered Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka for The Week magazine, and later for the Anand Bazar Group’s Sunday magazine. He became Chief of the News Bureau when Deccan Chronicle launched its Chennai edition. He also had a brief stint as the head of the News7 Tamil channel before returning to the Deccan Chronicle as Executive Editor.
