LET IT BE — a video-dance or screen-dance by Trimukhi Platform

Rehearsed and filmed one hundred kilometres south of Calcutta, on the seashore of Bay of Bengal, LET IT BE weaves together outdoor contemporary performing arts and cinematographic experimentation for online viewers, as a way to share the surprising aesthetic effects produced by combining different elements, enhancing the strength of each. In this video-dance film, humans and other-than-humans are the active agents of a choreographic game: a lonely female body plays with the sand, the relief of the soil, the protruding roots of mangrove trees, the roar of waves and the singing of birds. Supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) during Covid pandemic, the avant-première screening was held on Trimukhi Platform Youtube channel from May 11 to May 21, 2021. Let It Be was then part of the video-dance installation Los indios también hace teatro at Cultural Complex Los Pinos in Mexico city from May 28 to June 6, 2021. L’avant-première de LET IT BE a lieu en ligne du 11 au 21 mai 2021.
