So I visited the USSC (South Central Florida Express) railway with visiting railfan Nelson Acosta on an awesome Wednesday. USSC oversees a class 3 railroad operation involving the company's massive sugarcane harvesting process in the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) of South Florida, which leads to the production of finished sugar product, which is usually shipped in solid or liquid form (molasses, corn syrup, etc). A chunk of the common carrier portion of the system rides on former ACL trackage, while the rest is leased from FEC. As you will see the USSC is a fast railroad, with its track rated as FRA class 3. The focus of this particular trip seemed to be on chasing both the Desoto City (Sebring) and Fort Pierce turns, two of the coolest road locals this railroad has to offer; these trains interchange to CSX and FEC respectively. I hope you guys enjoy, this particular package has a lot of different angles and spots, some of which I can safely say have never been documented before. Typo: Bryant turn goes to loadouts, but passes a mill in Pahokee. I was on an adrenaline rush since I had no time to spare for that shot ;))
