Rhinoplasty & Chin Implant Surgery | Dr Joseph Shvidler I'm Dr Joseph Shvidler and I'm a double board certified facial plastic surgeon currently practicing at the Seattle facial Plastic Surgery Center in Seattle Washington so when it comes to rhinoplasty with chin implant surgery with the patients see the most after they come in to get their sutures and casts removed is that they see that their nose and face are more balanced they see that in their social media posts they see that in their photographs profile photographs and they feel that their face and knows more balanced they feel more confident and secure about the way their face and nose looks when somebody has a small chin naturally it makes their nose look bigger so in some patients we offer a chin implant in conjunction with rhinoplasty to balance their nasal and facial proportions so while we're reducing their nose we're enlarging their chin and hands balancing out their facial features so unlike the breast implants chin implants are made out of solid silicone whereas breast implants are made out of liquid silicone and the capsule in the liquid silicone can rupture and that may lead to need for replacement periodically the nice thing about chin implants is there it's a solid silicone structure so those do not need to be replaced we fixed the chin implant with a suture and then your body encapsulates the implant with scar tissue so it stays in place and I prefer incision under the chin through the skin I feel that that's a more stable placement of the chin implant which leads to less cases of Extrusion or migration very rarely do I need to replace the chin implants they may only be concerned about a nose but they may not realize that their chin is making their nose larger so I think it's a win when I can convince a patient that they need a chin implant in addition to the rhinoplasty and they have an amazing outcome and they're confident they're happy about their face https://www.westcoastface.com/nose/rh...
