We offer a wide range of STEM programs, including a robust selection of mathematics courses. For elementary and junior high students, we provide comprehensive school-level math instruction that follows general North American curriculum standards and best practices. We also offer a well-established program specifically designed for preparation toward the International Mathematical Olympiad, or IMO. The IMO is widely regarded as one of the world's most—if not the most—prestigious mathematics competitions for pre-university students, and is often considered the gold standard among math olympiads. It began in 1959 in Romania, with just seven countries participating initially. Since then, it has grown dramatically and is now held annually in a different host city each year, rotating around the world to celebrate its international spirit. For example, the most recent events took place in Bath in the United Kingdom in 2024 and on the Sunshine Coast in Australia in 2025. Today, it attracts participants from over 100 countries across five continents. In recent years, around 600 to 630 contestants compete at the final event—for instance, 630 students from 110 countries in 2025. But this represents only the very top tier: each country selects its team of six through rigorous national qualifiers and olympiads, meaning hundreds of thousands of students worldwide—potentially over 300,000 or more in the early stages of national competitions—participate in the overall qualification process every year. This vast, multi-stage pyramid underscores what a truly grand, international event the IMO has become, drawing elite young talent from every corner of the globe. Problems are exceptionally challenging, covering advanced topics in algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics over two days. Success at the IMO level demands not only deep mathematical insight but also creative problem-solving and endurance under time pressure. Many past participants have gone on to distinguished careers in mathematics, science, technology, and beyond, underscoring the competition's reputation as a launchpad for future leaders in STEM. While the IMO itself is for high school students, building the necessary advanced skills starts much earlier. Our Olympiad Math preparation program is especially well-suited for motivated elementary and junior high learners who want to lay a strong foundation. We focus on developing the logical reasoning, proof techniques, and problem-solving strategies that align with IMO-style challenges, helping young students progress step by step toward competitive excellence. If your child shows a passion for mathematics and a desire to tackle truly demanding problems, early preparation can make all the difference in building confidence and capability for the long term.
